The Pen of Neglect

I'm never current any more. This photo is from sometime  around Christmas. But not sure exactly when. As you can see, there is a Christmas Bear in the "pen of neglect" with the guys... but we got him before Christmas.

I'll guess this is early December. JTQ holding up JAQ. Yes, the pen of neglect resides in the kitchen so I can almost prepare dinner while eating bonbons and reading romances.

Nap Time

Awwwww. What could be more adorable than sleeping children (and cat)? A sleeping Mommy, probably. But that is so not going to happen. The moment I fall asleep the cat wakes me, or my bum goes numb and well, you get the idea.

So here are my terrible two. Passed out in the sleeper is James at 12 weeks. Nuzzled next is John, now 4 years. Me, I'm ancient at darned near 45. I'm going to be 45 in 10 days.

Where did the time go? Is it cliche to say that or am I allowed to at least get it out once before I look at all the blessings I have (most of which are sleeping on me in this photo) and say that the time was well-spent and I'm the luckiest Mommy in the world.

ps I was sleeping just before the photo was taken, but my own snoring woke me. I am a long long way from my younger days (and a size 4).

A little more current

Another day at the park. These were warmer times (two days ago) just before my baby-weight loss plateaued. Mercifully it's sweater season now.

We've Grown

My how we've grown. As you can see, we have a new critter in our midst. Johnny Quest has a new baby bro James. James brother of John. Sounds nice, doncha think?

All is well. JTQ, Michael and Robert all pleased as punch to have a new little bro. Of course, this is JTQ's first kick at the older brother can. So far he's up for the task. He's got his big bros for models.

Updates as they happen, and whenever I get to the computer. Hmmm. Could be years.

Spring is Sprung

At first glance you may think this is a photo of my garden. But it's not. It's a photo of JTQ's hidey hole (under window). This photo is about a month old. My garden exploded gloriously. Unfortunately though, this blog is not about the garden. Dang.

I am massively pregnant here and so once again am behind in posting. Next post will likely include two crazy children instead of one.

JTQ turned four last week. Where oh where does the time go?

Chef JTQ

Yes, I missed posting in February...not that it's required I post monthly but it's what I've been trending. So we get at least two for March.

JTQ is quite the chef. Very handy with knives and, well, "sharps" in general. Here he is stirring up a mess o' vittles for us one quiet Saturday evening.

I suppose I should brace myself for cries of outrage but I am trying to win Bad Mummy of the Year again.
